Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Mack Brantley, 55, of Carthage, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Cocklin officiating. Interment will follow in Kilgore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Brantley passed away on Friday night, May 11, 2007 in Tyler, Texas.

Freddie Mack Brantley was born on August 24, 1951 in Lillie, Louisiana to Fred and Zola Mae Grissom Brantley. He graduated from Spearsville High School in Spearsville, Louisiana in 1969. Mr. Brantley was co-owner of Brantley Enterprises, an East Texas oilfield service company. Mr. Brantley moved to Carthage in 1991 from Kilgore and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert W. Brantley.

Mr. Brantley is survived by his life friend, Connie Brantley of Carthage; one son, Kyle Brantley and wife Samantha of Carthage; one brother, Jerry Brantley and wife Mona of Shreveport; one sister, Connie LeDoux and husband Rodney of Breaux Bridge; and three grandchildren, Haley Brantley, Trenton Brantley, and Taylor Potter all of Carthage. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mr. Brantley.

Serving as pallbearers are Brian Smith, M.D., Bill Smith, Robert Lee Brantley, Greg Allgood, Billy Thompson, and Roger Johnson.
