Frankie Lee Roy Bishop, age 77, of the Deadwood Community of Panola County, Texas, passed away on Friday morning, April 30, 2010, at his home in Deadwood. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
Frankie Lee Roy Bishop was born on September 2, 1932, in Nimmons, Arkansas to Dannie Norris and Nellie Mae Webster Bishop. He graduated from South Lyon Michigan High School with the class of 1950. Mr. Bishop married Anna Mae Schuster on July 11, 1953, in South Lyon. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was also a Scout Master of Troop 764 in Garden City, Michigan and Troop 314 in Rockwall, Texas. Mr. Bishop moved to Panola County in 1998, from Rockwall. He attended Deadwood United Methodist Church. Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann Bishop of Deadwood; three sons, Brian Bishop of Deadwood, Larry Bishop of Garland, Texas, and Ed Bishop and wife Stephanie of Deadwood; one daughter, Linda Newton and husband Todd of Rockwall; one sister, Noris Wilson of Crystal River, Florida; and three grandchildren, Mary Bishop of Baton Rouge, Brandon Bishop of Phoenix, Arizona, and Priscilla Bishop of Deadwood.
