IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank
Vaughn
October 30, 1944 – January 19, 2025
Frank Vaughn, age 80, of Bronson, Texas formerly of Gary, Texas, passed away on Sunday afternoon, January 19, 2025, in Hemphill, Texas. Dyral Franklin Vaughn was born on October 30, 1944, in Freeport, Texas to the late Dyral Cortez and Bernice Marshall Vaughn. He graduated from Gary High School with the class of 1963, where he played for the Bobcat Basketball Team. Frank only attended Panola College so he could sing in the choir. He worked at Texas Utilities, owned and operated Vaughn Enterprises, did custom Hay Bailing, and worked in the pipeline construction business first as an operator and later as an inspector. He was a member of the Pipeline Operators Union Local #178. During his pipeline days, he enjoyed traveling all over the U.S. for work. His hobbies were gardening, singing, entertaining others and playing the lottery. Frank was always helping people if they needed it and would never ask for help for himself. He was one of a kind, God broke the mold after him, and he will be terribly missed. He moved to Bronson from Gary in 2007, and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Vaughn; daughters, Lori Vaughn Ricotta and fiancé Coby, Sandra Vaughn Dixon, Angela Vaughn Gurrola and husband Jesus, and Katy Vaughn Julian and husband Daniel; grandchildren, Justin Hodge, Brandon Hodge, Miranda Hodge, Valerie Standard, Summer Stuart, Mason Dixon, Kason Dixon, Cameron Gurrola, Christian Gurrola, Kaylan Gurrola, Riley Julian, and Axel Julian; and great-grandchildren, Brynslee, Branson, Kazmin, Kyzer, Kambree, Ava, Cohen, and Waylonn.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with service following and burial at Gary Cemetery. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Bond, Jr. officiating.
Pallbearers are Lori Ricotta, Angela Gurrola, Katy Julian, Coby Bertrand, Jesus Gurrola, and Daniel Julian.
