A funeral service for Frank L. Record, 83, of Carthage, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Landtroop and Mike Gaver officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Record passed away on Thursday night, Sept. 4, 2014, in Shreveport.

Frank Lewis Record was born on Apr. 1, 1931, in Fannin County to the late Sie Frank and Eula Marie Medley Record. He graduated from Leonard High School. Frank worked as a self-employed contractor until his retirement. He married Nina Lynn Screws on July 28, 1990, in Grapevine. Mr. Record was a lover of animals and was involved in the SPCA. He moved to Carthage in 2002 from Grapevine and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Record was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Frank Lewis Record, Jr. and Richard Record; two brothers, Buddy and J.D. Record; and two sisters, Mary Kathryn Berry and Dorothy Milner.

Mr. Record is survived by his wife, Lynn Record of Carthage; one son, Greg Record and wife Lynette of Abilene; and seven grandchildren, Ricky Don Record, Michelle Record, Hayly Record, Frank Lewis Record III, Alyssa Lara, Erik Lara and Joel Lara.

Serving as pallbearers are Jason Anderson, Mike Gaver, Mickey Lindley, David Bullock, John Woods, and Jason Lindley.
