IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Alvie
Morris
January 13, 1955 – July 4, 2019
Frank Alvie Morris, 64, of Clinton, MS, passed away on Thursday morning, July 4, 2019, in Carthage. He was born on Jan. 13, 1955, in Houston, TX to the late James Eldon and Jenna Lee Hall Morris. He graduated from Smiley High School in Houston with the class of 1974. Mr. Morris married Dorothy Faye Gunn on May 2, 1981, in Forest, MS. He was a member of Pearson Baptist Church in Pearl, MS.
Frank (Pops) loved his grandchildren more than life itself. He enjoyed teaching them how to swim, going to the park and going to their schools to eat lunch with them. He enjoyed taking them to the fair each year that he was able to. All of the grandchildren all liked to take a drink of Pop's Diet Dr. Pepper from his "Big Cup" before bed time when they would visit. He had a passion for Nascar, fishing, Texas and Armadillos. He frequently never left the house without his Levi jeans and cowboy boots. During the last few years of his life he and Jamie were able to go to several Nascar races and cheer on their favorite racers. He also developed a loved for Frisbee golf where he would go with Jamie and his friends to play at a local park. He and Jamie also loved watching baseball together and where able to attend the Houston Atros games together. He and Wendy had a love for softball when she was younger. He was able to coach her team. They also went skating where the kids were in skate shows. He and Wendy enjoyed going to the mall together to shop. They would dance around the house together and sing when she was younger. When Wendy was a baby, she and Dorothy would ride with him in the 18-Wheeler where Dorothy was able to explore a lot of the Country. Wendy enjoyed when her daddy would take her to the sandbar on the Mississippi with her friends. She also remembers being able to spend time with him at his former place of employment at Southerland Oil. As a family, Frank, Dorothy, Wendy and Jamie loved to go to the military parks and enjoy the time they had together. He was always a kid at heart. Dorothy enjoyed the special memories they had going two-stepping. They loved dancing together. Every time they would leave the house or go to bed, they would give one another two kisses and say I love you. They would never go to bed mad at one another. His love for his family was inspiring and something we will never forget.
