Funeral services for Mrs. Frances M. Heaton, age 86 of Carthage, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John W. Gregson and Reverend Dock Lazarine officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Bethel Cemetery near Gary, Texas under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Heaton passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2006 in Marshall, Texas after an extended illness.
Frances Murphy was born on April 2, 1919 in Gary, Texas to Rudolph and Geneva Gregory Murphy. She married James Lake Heaton on August 5, 1936 in Gary, Texas. She had lived her lifetime in Panola County and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lake Heaton on April 17, 1998; two brothers, and six sisters.
Mrs. Heaton is survived by her son Larry Heaton and wife Reggie of Marshall; grandson, Jason L. Heaton; granddaughter, Julie Heaton Brock and husband Cory of Marshall; two great-grandchildren Josie Brock and Trinity Heaton of Marshall; special sister-in-law, Helen Beaty of Carthage; other family members also survive.
