Everett Lunsford, 86, of Gary, Texas, passed away on Thursday afternoon, January 25, 2024, in Center, Texas. He was born on October 9, 1937, in Rison, Arkansas, to the late Otis Oque and Era Alice Marie Smith Lunsford. Everett came to Panola County, Texas from Pine Bluff, Arkansas in the early 1990s. He married Paula Sue Richardson on May 11, 1973, in Pine Bluff.  Everett was of the Pentecostal faith.  He was a carpenter, and also a truck driver for Sears. Everett liked having a nice yard and he enjoyed mowing it. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie, Floyd, Lloyd, and Otis Lunsford, Jr.; and sister, Ruby Haynes.

Everett is survived by his wife, Paula Lunsford; children, Angel Burgess and husband Jimmy, and Everett James Lunsford; grandchildren, Bryan Burgess, James Burgess, and Braxton Jones; and sister-in-law, Betty Lunsford. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive.
