Obituary

Evelyn Dailey, 78, of Chandler, TX, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 3, 2023, at her home under the watchful care of her lifelong friend, Ms. Susie Findley.

Evelyn was born on February 23, 1945, in Beckville, TX to the late James Connelly and Callie Vesta Fite Dailey. Evelyn graduated from Beckville High School with the Class of 1963, and furthered her education, receiving a Master of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. Ms. Dailey spent the greater part of her teaching career at Westwood High School in Round Rock, TX where she instructed students in Computer Applications.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by an infant sister, Bettie Ann Dailey; her brother, Billy Charles Dailey; and her sister, Melba Ruth Dailey Langford.

Evelyn is survived by her sister, Dorothy Bramblett and husband Louis of Carthage, TX; friend, Susie Findley of Chandler, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Dailey of Beckville, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces/nephews.

Evelyn's life was greatly enriched by her love of travel, and she pursued that love by visiting destinations around the globe; however, she most valued the time she spent in Europe & Australia. Evelyn was also passionate about her collection of Mickey Mouse memorabilia, and those close to her know that it is quite impressive!

To her friends and family, Evelyn embodied the attributes found in Galatians 5:22-23. She was a loving, kind, gentle soul, full of goodness, faith, meekness, and a calm spirit.

A special thank you goes out to R.L. & Ernestine Mitchell, Ellen Gaye Morris, and Bobby & Teresa Langford for their tireless efforts and assistance in caring for and visiting Evelyn.
