Ernest Eugene Cline, 80, of DeBerry, Texas passed away on Wednesday night, December 20, 2017, at his home in DeBerry surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 22, 1937, in Gravette, Arkansas to the late Forrest Luther and Delsa Esther Chrisman Cline. Mr. Cline graduated from Compton, California High School with the class of 1954. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1960, in the 301
st
Bombardment Wing/Re-fueling Squadron. He married Marilyn Jean Sistrunk on May 3, 1957, in Center, Texas and she preceded him in death on April 19, 2016, after 58 years of marriage. Mr. Cline worked as a sheet metal worker for Local 214 in Shreveport until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Wayne Edward Cline and Kenneth Evert Cline; half-brothers, Forrest, Lee, and Orin Cline; and half-sister, Lois Wilson.
Survivors include his son, Gary Cline of Atlanta, Texas; daughter, Anita Cline of DeBerry; grandson, Derek E. Anderson and fiancé Megan Wilson of DeBerry; great-grandchildren, Kasen Anderson of New Boston and Kolby and Miley Wilson of Carthage; and nephew Steve Cline of DeBerry.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
