Eric Narith Chan, age 23, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Carthage. He was born on March 23, 2002, in Memphis, Tennessee to Saroun Chan and Tha Mian. Eric graduated from Rice Academy in Tyler, Texas with the class of 2020, and he was recognized for perfect attendance. He moved to Carthage in 2021, where he worked at Donut Deluxe. He was hard working, dependable and will be remembered for his happy and kind demeanor and how nice he was to the customers. Eric enjoyed playing games, watching animation, listening to K-Pop music, and eating with friends and family at gatherings. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Tha Mian; father, Saroun Chan; brother, Ethan Chan; sister, Kristina Prum; friend and co-worker, Samy; aunt, Thy Roeun and her husband Sinath; and his boss, Sony.

The family will have a 7th day cultural ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the home of Sinath and Thy Roeun, 122 Honeysuckle Street, Beckville, Texas 75631. All friends and family are welcome to attend the service and pay their respects.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
