Emma Louise Godwin Donald Corley, 81, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Saturday morning, Oct. 5, 2019, at her home near Carthage. Emma Louise Godwin was born on Nov. 22, 1937, in Panola County, TX to the late Melvin Hartwell and Euginia Louise Turnage Godwin. Emma owned and operated Emma's Fireworks and Emma's Coffee Shop for many years before her retirement. She lived her lifetime in Carthage and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Therion Curtis Donald and Steven Scott Corley; son, Larry Donald; 10 siblings; grandson, James Donald; and great-grandson, Johnathon Austin Pruitt.

Survivors include her daughter, Letha Vaughan and husband Keith; son, Curt Donald and wife Diana; daughter-in-law, Debbie Donald; brother, Harold Godwin and wife Becky; 16 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rodger Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Larry Donald, Jr., Steven Vaughan, James Dean Stephens, Michael Yargo, Charles Head, and Robert Felgate. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Vaughan, Brandon Maxey, and Dakota Maxey.
