Funeral services for Mr. Elvin "Doot" Ware, age 74, of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3053 Hwy 315, Carthage, TX, with Rev. Raymond D. Allison officiating under the direcition of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Holland's Quarters Cemetery. Mr. Ware passed away on Friday afternoon, September 25, 2009, in Carthage.

Elvin "Doot" Ware was born on October 14, 1934, in Panola County, Texas to Alma and Irene Blankenship Ware. He attended Carthage Schools. Mr. Ware retired from the logging industry. He lived in Panola County all of his life and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Alvin Ware, Jesse Ware, and Grady Ware.

Mr. Ware is survived by one son, Rayford Ware of Carthage; two sisters, Hazel Sutton and Nonie Hudson both of Carthage; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are James Wilcox, Delbert Pope, Jeff Pope, Jimmy Rayson, Chris Sutton, and Purvis Sutton.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Christopher Sutton, Purvis Sutton, Jesse Earl Ware, David Lee Ware, and Rayford Earl Ware.
