Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen L. Racicot, age 73, of Beckville, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Arnold Shrewsbury officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Racicot passed away on Thursday morning, July 16, 2009, in Longview.

Ellen Lee Ross Racicot was born on October 18, 1935, in Beckville, Texas to Oliver P. and Lillian Lee Ross. She graduated from Beckville High School and attended Business College. Mrs. Racicot was an excellent bookkeeper and typist. She married George G. Racicot in 1981. Mrs. Racicot liked to sew and garden. She moved back to Beckville in 1981, from La Marque. Mrs. Racicot was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold and Leo Ross; and one daughter, Becky Lee.

Mrs. Racicot is survived by her husband George G. Racicot of Beckville; two sons, Charles Tompkins of Longview and John B. Tompkins and wife Rhonda of Ft. Worth; one daughter, Darline Henson of Beckville; and two grandchildren, Stacy McKee and husband Trey of Longview and Daniel Tompkins and friend Holly Peterson of Longview.

Serving as pallbearers are Terry Wayne Tompkins, Eddie Racicot, Daniel Tompkins, Matt McKee, Trey McKee, and Randy Barron.
