Ella Adams, 65, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Longview, Texas. Ella Louise Adams was born on January 14, 1956, in Beckville, Texas to the late Herman and Lorene Allison Jeter. She lived her lifetime in Carthage.  Ella graduated from Turner High School.  She was a member of Johnson Chapel C.M.E. Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Wayne Jeter; and great-grandchild, Addison Turner.

Ella is survived by her children, Temeka Jeter of Longview, Kimberly Jones of Hallsville, and Calvin Jones, Jr. and wife Toby of Longview; siblings, Delois Wall and husband Carlton of Tatum, Alice Grant, Jerry Jeter and wife Mattie, Lee Jeter and wife Nefertiti, and Katherine Arline and husband Steve of Carthage, Patricia Alonzo of Pineville, Louisiana, Shirley Murphy and husband Vincent, and Brenda Williams and husband James of Carthage, Herman Jeter of Killeen, Deborah Harris of Houston, Sharonnica Lewis and husband Alfred of Carthage; and beloved dog, Remy.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eltara Tyiska officiating.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Tenaha. Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are MonQualim Jeter, John Jordan, Gerard Jones, Carldrin Williams, Joshua Remi, Lucas Remi, Jerry Jeter Jr, Alex Jones, and Trey Sims.

Honorary pallbearers are Darius Gates Jr, Zackary Gates, Calvin Jones Jr, Herman Ray Jeter, Jerry Jeter Sr, Lee Jeter, Brandon Love Jones, Alvin Jones, Brailon Jones, Blaine Gates-Call, Anthony Leija-Jones, and Kingston Jones.
