Elizabeth Holland Jordan, 92, of the Fair Play Community in Panola County, Texas, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 8, 2025, in Livingston, Texas. Elizabeth Ruth Holland was born on July 1, 1933, in Fair Play to the late Gilbert Colbert and Lucy Maude Harris Holland. She graduated from Carthage High School with the Class of 1951. Elizabeth was married to the late Vernon Ed Jordan and the late Edgar Dennis Jordan. She worked many years at Patterson Insurance Agency in Carthage and later owned a flooring company with her husband Vernon in Carthage until her retirement. Elizabeth was a long-time member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #747 in Carthage. She was a Methodist and was a long-time member of Allison Chapel Methodist Church in Fair Play. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Matthew Harris Holland, Mary Zell Holland Halvorson, Nelda Jo Holland McComack, Colbert Royce Holland, and Maudeen Holland Peters.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Holland, nieces, Dana Holland, Pam Sanderson, Terri King, and Niski Paredas; and nephews, Tim McComack, Paul McComack, and Randall Peters.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Waldrop Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
