Eduardo Hernández, 89, of Longview, TX, passed away on Sunday night, Dec. 6, 2020, at his home in Longview. Eduardo Escareno Hernández was born on Oct. 13, 1931, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Nicanor Hernández and Josefina Escareno. He married Irma Cadena on June 23, 1953, in Nueva Rosita and she passed away on Nov. 23, 2018. He worked as a carpenter in the furniture building business. Mr. Hernández was a member of San Pedro the Fisherman Catholic Church in Tatum, TX.

Survivors include his children, Eduardo Hernández Cadena, Juan Hernández Cadena, Irma G. Hernández de Mireles, Hernando Hernández Cadena, Jaime Hernandez Cadena, Ariel Hernández Cadena, and Jorge A. Hernández Cadena and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at San Pedro the Fisherman Catholic Church in Tatum with Father Elpidio Lopez officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Tatum Cemetery.

An immediate family visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Rosary to be recited for family at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
