Edna Walker, 67, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in Carthage.  Mrs. Walker was born on November 18, 1955, in Center, Texas to the late Tol Ray and Edna Zelone "Lois" Sholar Powdrill. She graduated with the Buna High School class of 1974. Edna married Sidney Linnis Walker on September 4, 1974, in Henderson, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Logan Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved her family and playing with her grandchildren more than anything.  Edna enjoyed cooking and fishing, and she loved Elvis.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Carl Ray Powdrill.

Edna is survived husband, Linnis Walker; daughter, Valerie Risinger and husband Brent; sister, Sherry Morgan and husband Ira; grandchildren, Krystina Landreneaux and husband Jantzen, Emily Oliver, Bradley Oliver, Andrew Risinger, and Rachal Miller.  Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Walker officiating. Interment will be at held Adams Cemetery in the Logan Community. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are A.J. Glaze, Aaron Walker, Shaun Oliver, Travis Walker, Randall Wiggins, Kevin Powdrill, and James "Bubba" Broadus.

Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Joe Davis, Vernon Walker, Ronnie McMillan, Keith Creech, Mason Dickerson, and John Adams.

The family wants to express a special thanks to the staff of Briarcliff, past and present.  Also, thanks to Hospice Plus and Tracy Ibeh.
