Eddie Nation, 66, of DeBerry, TX, passed away on Friday afternoon, May 31, 2019, at his home in DeBerry. Morris Edward "Eddie" Nation was born on December 22, 1952, in Houston, TX to the late E T and Ida Elizabeth Elliot Nation. Eddie graduated from Galena Park High School with the class of 1971. He married Andrea Denise Smith on July 23, 1979, in Houston. Eddie was an extremely talented musician and was thankful to the Lord for providing him with musical talent. He moved to Panola County in 1997, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Spc. James Lee Adair; his sister, Wilma Baker; and cousins, Sue and Billy Halcumb.

Survivors include his wife, Andrea Nation of DeBerry; daughters, Tiffany Monroe of DeBerry and Chelsea Adair of Carthage; granddaughters, Abigail Monroe, Avery Lee Adair, and Madalyn and Mackenzie Monroe; nephews, Chad and Cory Baker and William Smith; nieces, Stephanie Ellner and Deidre Smith; special cousins, Carol Halcumb, Richard Halcumb and wife Debra, Carl Halcumb and wife Chris, and Cathy Plemmons and husband David; brother-in-law, Bill Smith and wife Maria; and special friends, Larry and Marsha Downs.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Freddy Mason officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard Stuart, Daniel Latham, and Danny Miller.
