A funeral service for Mrs. Dorthy Lue Allison, age 63, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Hubert Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery near Clayton. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Allison passed away on Monday afternoon, April 6, 2015, in Longview.

Dorthy Lue Allison was born on Feb. 26, 1952, in Panola County, TX, to the late Elijah and Essie Lewis Allison. Mrs. Allison loved spending time with her family, fishing, cooking, and going garage selling. Mrs. Allsion lived in the Panola County all of her life. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Christ Church. Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gary Lee Allison.

Mrs. Allison is survived by four sons, Jason Allison, Granson Allison, Jerry Allison, and Ezar Barnes and wife Mildred Kay; two daughters, Marsha Taylor and husband James and Tameshia Barnes; five brothers, Roy Chester Allison, Willie Allison and wife Winnie, Larry Allison and wife Shakera, John Allison, and Timmy Allison; four sisters, Lue Doris Swindle, Charlene Ingram and husband Les, Shirley Williams, and Cynthia Guinn; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
