Dorothy White, 86, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Monday afternoon, Jan. 7, 2019, in Carthage. Dorothy Marie Howell White was born on June 22, 1932, in Agra, Oklahoma to the late Harry Lee and Nora Hessie Parker Howell. She graduated from Amarillo High School with the class of 1950. Dorothy married Bernard B White on Aug. 11, 1951, in Bellville, IL. She was a member of the Avion Travel Trailer Club and enjoyed traveling all over North America. Mrs. White moved to Carthage in 2013, from Katy, TX and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Brenda Renea Forman.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bernard White; sons, Dennis White and wife Donna of Flower Mound, TX and Donald White and wife Amy of Cibolo, TX; daughters, Bernice Gipson and husband Ken of Fritch, TX and Beverly Goodman and husband Steve of Carthage; brother, David Howell of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Newton Hambrick officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage with Rev. Mark White officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
