Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy English, 83 of Mabank, Texas formerly of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Restland Memorial Park near Carthage under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mrs. English will be in state at the funeral home from 8:00 A.M. until Noon on Saturday. Mrs. English passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in Tyler.

Dorothy Lee Reese English was born on October 19, 1923 in Martinsville, Texas to Joseph Lee and Rosa Chalker Reese. She married William Elmer English on February 3, 1945 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and he predeceased her on October 31, 1981. Mrs. English had lived in Mabank since 1994 moving from Carthage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Mrs. English is survived by two brothers-in-law, Wayne Wright of Waldron, Indiana and Jim Zipperian of Mabank and a sister-in-law, Mary Reese of Mabank. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. English.
