Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Delane Harris Neal, age 85, of Carthage, TX formerly of Frankston, TX will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday June 5, 2010, at Frankston City Cemetery with Brother J. A. Griffin officiating. Services are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mrs. Neal's body will lie in state from 12 noon until 5 p.m. on Friday at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home, 1131 State Highway 149, Carthage, TX 75633. She passed away on Thursday morning, June 3, 2010, in Tyler.

Dorothy Delane Harris Neal was born on Nov. 11, 1924, in Cotton Valley, LA to Harmon Mallard and Mary Pearl Brassell Harris. She graduated from Frankston High School and attended Draugh's Business School in Dallas. Mrs. Neal worked for SWEPCO for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. Mrs. Neal moved to Carthage in 1996, from Frankston. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Neal is survived by two sons, Jerry Glenn Neal of Flint and Norman Jarrette Neal, Jr. of Frankston; one brother, Harmon M. "Sam" Harris, Jr. of Houston; three grandchildren, Amber Neal Oberg and husband John of Tyler, Jarrette Neal of Frankston, and Erika Neal of San Antonio; and her beloved dog, Jasper.
