Funeral services for Dorothy "Dottie" Eatinger, age 85 of Beckville, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Eatinger passed away on Friday, July 14, 2006 in Longview, Texas.

Dorothy Virginia Eatinger was born on July 12, 1921 in Fort Worth, Texas to George and Modena Kent Llewellyn. She married Kenneth Leroy Eatinger on June 28, 1943 in Forth Worth. Mrs. Eatinger had lived in Beckville since 1967 moving from Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended Bethel Baptist Church in Clayton, Texas. Mrs. Eatinger was preceded in death by her husband on January 7, 1990 and her daughter, Tommye Hardwick in 2003.

Mrs. Eatinger is survived by one son, Kenneth Lee Eatinger and wife Cathy of Lewisville, Texas; five daughters, Lea Beard and husband Lonnie of Austin, Texas, Phyllis Harris and husband Don of Mansfield, Texas, Jane Robinson and husband Eddie Ray of Clayton, Texas, Kim Ivy and husband Johnnie of Round Rock, Texas, and Kitty Chambers and husband Buck of Beckville, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Mrs. Eatinger's grandsons.
