Graveside services for Dorothy Nell Choate, age 69 of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2007 at Antioch Cemetery near Carthage with Brother Dale Reed officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Dorothy passed away on Friday, August 31, 2007 in Carthage.

Dorothy Nell Choate was born on February 6, 1938 in Panola County, Texas to Marvin Bishop and Opal Hudson Choate. Dorothy had lived in Panola County her lifetime and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Marlene Salter.

She is survived by one brother, Floyd Choate and wife Amanda of Carthage; one niece, Charlotte Salter of Austin; two nephews, Mike Choate and wife Linda of Nacogdoches and Jeff Choate and wife Lori of Benton, LA; four great nieces, Amanda, Jeannine, Suzanne, and Meaghan Choate.
