Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy "Dottie" Anders, age 76 of Plano, Texas formerly of Carthage, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Anders passed away on Sunday evening, May 31, 2009, at her home in Plano.

Dorothy Page Anders was born on December 22, 1932, in Carthage, Texas to Otis and Olive Marguerite Page Anders. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1951. Ms. Anders earned her real estate license, worked as a home builder in the Grand Prairie area, and was a member of the Texas Homebuilders Association. She later attended Sam Houston State University. Ms. Anders also worked in real estate sales in the Carthage area for many years and was the first woman elected president of the Panola County Realtors Association. She attended Carthage Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Anders was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Anders; one sister, Helen Wagner; and a nephew, Larry Sepaugh.

Ms. Anders is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Turbeville Regian and husband Mark of Plano and Dianna Turbeville Sundstrom and husband Dick of Carrolton; one son, Bryan Byrnes and wife Julie of Colleyville; one sister, Lois Riggins of Canyon Lake; nine grandchildren, Justin Sundstrom, Mallory Sutton, Nicole Sundstrom, Zach Regian, Kelly Byrnes, Taylor Regian, Alec Byrnes, Preston Karpinski Byrnes, and Juliana Byrnes; two nieces, Debbie Sellars and husband Charlie and Cathy Beck and husband Wayne; and one nephew, Stan Sepaugh and wife Lisa.

Serving as pallbearers are Kelly Byrnes, Mark Regian, Zach Regian, Taylor Regian, Dick Sundstrom, Justin Sundstrom, and Steve Dinerville.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Stan Sepaugh and Charlie Sellars.
