Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Wallace, age 72 of the Centennial Community in Panola County, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mervin Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the Centennial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wallace passed away on Tuesday morning, August 21, 2007 at her home in Centennial.

Doris Geraline Mobley Wallace was born on February 18, 1935 in Winston County, Mississippi to Carl Howard and Velma Holley Mobley. She graduated from Copiah-Lincoln High School in Wesson, Mississippi. She married Jimmy Bob Wallace on November 11, 1966 in Logansport, Louisiana. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and gardening. She worked as a payroll clerk for Carthage Independent School District for many years. Mrs. Wallace had lived in Panola County for over 40 years moving from Logansport, Louisiana. She was a member of the Deadwood United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John W. Mobley; and one sister, Patricia Faye Varnell.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Jimmy Bob Wallace of the Centennial Community; two daughters, Carla Cheshire and husband James of Carthage and Teresa Vaughn and husband Jerrold of Marshall; one brother, Thomas Mobley and wife Nancy of San Angelo; and one sister, Norma Mouchett of Mobile, Alabama; and four grandchildren, LeAnne Vaughn, Jerrod Vaughn, Nolan Cheshire, and Rusty Phillips.

Serving as pallbearers are Robert Harris, Kurtis Pope, Phil Powell, Oran Phillips, Allen McLaughlin, and Rodney Russell. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Earle Powell, David Powell, and Paul Prince.
