Funeral services for Mrs. Doris L Epperley, age 88 of Carthage, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Arrington officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Epperley passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in Carthage.

Doris L White Epperley was born on February 18, 1919 in Mingo County, West Virginia to Lewis and Rosella Mead White. She married James Allen Epperley on November 19, 1935 in Kentucky. Mrs. Epperley worked as a Technician for Texas Instruments for 15 years, retiring in 1995. She had lived in Carthage since 1988 moving from Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Epperley was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Allen Epperley who passed away in 1958; one daughter, Helen Stone; two brothers, Holly White and Robert White; one sister, Cora Collins; and one grandson, David Walker.

Mrs. Epperley is survived by one son, James Epperley of Green Cove Springs, Florida; one daughter, JoElla Rosenblum of Carthage; one sister, Etta Nelson of Ohio; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Epperley.
