Doris Ann Ebarb, 80, of Carthage, Texas, passed away Friday August 8, 2025, in Longview, Texas. She was born August 14, 1944 in Carthage, Texas to the late William and Margaret Pike Robinson. She worked and managed a dental office until her retirement.  She had a gypsy soul and loved traveling, dirt track racing, gardening, and fishing.  She moved to Alaska in 1972 and lived there 18 years before coming back to the lower 48 states in 1990.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Clayton.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Donald Holmes; second husband, John Ben Ebarb; and brother, Billy Robinson.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Strickland and husband Robert; son, Douglas Holmes; grandchildren; and great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends also survive Mrs. Ebarb.

A memorial service for Doris will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church, 160 County Road 1521, Carthage, TX 75633. A celebration will follow the service at the American Legion in Carthage.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
