Donnie Pruitt, 67, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 20, 2024, in Longview, Texas. Donnie was born in Palestine, Texas on December 10, 1956, to the late Golden Lee and Helen Juanita Richardson Pruitt. He attended Beckville schools and was of the Baptist faith. Donnie was a heavy equipment operator in the pipeline construction business and worked for Capco Contractors in Henderson, Texas. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann Pruitt and sister, Juanita Pruitt Green.

Donnie is survived by his daughters, Dana Pruitt (Leonard Jones), Pamela Johnson, and Stacie Jones; twin-brother, Lonnie Pruitt and wife Jennifer; brothers, Robert and LeRoy Pruitt; grandchildren, Daniel Cole, Jr., Dontae Anthony, and Savannah Jones and husband Ronnie; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Jones, Ronnie Jones IV, Haley Jones, and Christopher Berkshire; and special friends, Tammy and Justin Peel.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Lonnie Pruitt officiating.
