Graveside services for Mr. Donnie Odell Booth, age 78 of Tatum, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009 at Harris Chapel Cemetery with Bro. David Baze officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Booth passed away on Friday night, March 27, 2009 at his home in Tatum.
Donnie Odell Booth was born on November 27, 1930 in Panola County, Texas to Mike and Betsy Irene Downs Booth. He graduated from Tatum High School with the class of 1948. Mr. Booth served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. Donnie's favorite past times were fishing and hunting. He was a beloved father and grandfather that will be missed tremendously. Mr. Booth was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Booth; and one sister, Ruby Ellis.
Mr. Booth is survived by his son, Donnie Paul Booth of Rosharon, Texas; his daughter, Angie Wallace and husband Randy of Tatum; his children's mother, Martha Gibson of Tatum; step-daughter, Linda Gibson; brother, Junior Booth and wife Edna of DeBerry; two grandsons, Chris Wallace of Tatum and Ben Wallace of Lindale; and one great-grandson, Devon Wallace of Longview. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive Mr. Booth.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Wallace, Ben Wallace, Randy Wallace, Todd Ellis, Randall Booth, and Juan Avalos.
