A memorial service for Mr. Donnie Joe Armstrong, age 55, of Henderson, TX, formerly of Carthage, TX, will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Olen Rivers officiating. Mr. Armstrong passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at his home in Henderson. Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Donnie Joe Armstrong was born on Jan. 3, 1958, in Carthage, TX to Buddy Joe and Bettie Sue Robinson Armstrong. He was reared and attended school in Carthage. He worked in the oil field industry for many years. Donnie moved to Henderson in 2000 from Carthage and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother on January 10, 2002.

Donnie is survived by his father, Buddy Joe Armstrong; four children, Brandy Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, Brandon Dean, and Bradley Cheek; wife, Tracey Lynn Dheil Armstrong; eight grandchildren, Shelbie Armstrong, LoriAnn Dean, Hailey Dean, Taylor Cheek, McKenzie Boyd, Xander Mason, Anna Cheek, and Robert Fowler; one sister, Amy Anderson and husband Pat; aunts and uncles, Martha and Delma Hight, Earl and Phyllis Robinson, Nina Lee Robinson, Buddy Robinson, Maggie Breashears, Charlene and W.C. Wyatt, and Thomas and Jean Armstrong; and special friends, Rod and Liz Manasco. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive Mr. Armstrong.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jody LaGrone, Jerry Hight, Danny Ray Robinson, and Chris Dean.
