Donald Barry Ray, age 86, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Carthage. He was born on January 23, 1939, in Salem, Virginia to the late W.H. and Margaret Smith Ray. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. Donald married the love of his life Linda Grace Stevens on March 21, 1959. He enjoyed golfing, reading and was an avid motorcyclist in his earlier years. He was a member of Gary New Hope Baptist Church. Donald was a plant manager at Carthage Cup for many years before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Donald is survived by his wife, Linda Grace Stevens Ray; two sons, Daniel Ray and wife Silvia, and Cregg Ray and wife Dawn; and daughter, Teresa Clark; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and also, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
