Donald McCasland, 59, of Panola County, TX, passed away on Monday morning, Dec. 26, 2022, at his home in Panola County. Donald Dee McCasland was born on Sept. 19, 1963, in Leachville, Ark. to Everett Alvie and Betty Lou Fleetwood McCasland. He graduated from Wonderview High School in Hattieville, Ark. with the class of 1981. He married Pamela Renee Bazarow on Feb. 20, 1981, in Hattieville. Donald worked in the oil and gas industry as a pipe tester his entire 40-year career, having been employed at S&W Tubing Testing, Arklatex Tubing Testing, Smires, Inc., Strong Services, and King Oil Field Services. He was a workaholic, enjoyed sitting around a fire, barbequing, drinking beer, working on Fords, and loved spending time with his family. Donald was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Dennis McCasland.

He is survived by his wife, Pam McCasland; children, Michael McCasland and wife Felicia and Cristy McCasland; brother, Rick McCasland; and grandchildren, Caitlyn Boyette and husband Hunter, Sarah Proctor, Austin Proctor, Cerra Jo Proctor, Madison McCasland, and Tucker McCasland. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at Smires, Inc., 1400 Charles Duvall Pkwy., Kilgore, TX 75662. Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
