A memorial service for Mr. Don L. Watkins, 69, of Henderson, TX, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Tenaha Church of Christ with Bro. Dale Walker officiating. Mr. Watkins passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2015, in Longview. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.

Don Lewis Watkins was born on Jan. 18, 1946, in Center, TX to the late Robert "Buck" and Era Spurlock Watkins. He graduated from Tenaha High School with the class of 1965. He married Darla Lake on Jan. 3, 1987 in Timpson. Don was a member of the Tenaha Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Watkins.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Darla Lake Watkins of Henderson; sister, Sherry Welch and husband Philip of Frankston; nieces and nephews, Phil Welch and wife Cindy of Henderson, Amy Porter and husband Ron of Frankston, Scott Welch of Frankston, Molly Agnew of Sulpher, LA, Tom Watkins of Carthage, Josh Watkins of Lake Charles, LA, Jennifer Lake Butler and husband Todd of Louisville, KY, Nicole Lake Fitzgerald and fiancé Brad of Waller, Stephen Lake and wife Jenifer of Houston, and Scott Lake and wife Amanda of Hallsville; brothers-in-law, Ferrell Lake and wife DeAnna of Montgomery and Ronnie Lake and wife Janice of Henderson; and his loving babies, Bailey and Larsen. Numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, and many friends also survive Don.
