Don Alan Straznicky, 68, of Carthage, Texas, formerly of Cypress, Texas passed away on Tuesday morning, October 19, 2021, at his home in Carthage. He was born on October 6, 1953, in Houston to the late Henry and Florence Caroline Cloudt Straznicky. Don attended Waltrip High School in Houston, graduating with the class of 1972.  He worked for many years as the Warranty Manager at David Weekley Homes in Houston. Don moved to Carthage in 2018, and attended Trails End Cowboy Church Harrison County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a gun enthusiast.  He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and operating radio-controlled airplanes. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice Halling.

Don is survived by his wife, Brenda Straznicky; daughters, Lori Williams and husband Dustin of Carthage and Kimberly Straznicky of Troup; brother, Jerry Straznicky and wife Beth of Katy; and grandchildren, Alexis Williams, Parker Williams and Jackson Norgan.

Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
