A funeral service for Miss Dixie Jane Anderson, age 68, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Miss Anderson passed away on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 20, 2013, in Carthage.

Dixie Jane Anderson was born on Feb. 17, 1944, in Panola County, TX to the late Brook Conrad "Dick" Anderson and Kascille Minter Anderson. Miss Anderson graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1962. She attended Panola College and graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a B.A. in English. Miss Anderson worked as the secretary in the Panola County Justice of the Peace Office until her retirement. She lived her lifetime in Panola County and was a longtime member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Riderville.

She is survived by two brothers, Jerry Conrad Anderson and wife Peggy and Richard Wayne Anderson and wife Kathy all of Carthage; two sisters, Janice Sue Wilkerson and husband Randall and Deborah Kay Reeves and husband Glen all of Carthage; uncle and aunt, Jeff and Joan Minter of Canada; and aunt, Margie Ray of Shady Grove. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Miss. Anderson.

Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Wayne Anderson, Randy Wilkerson, Darren Wilkerson, David Reeves, Beau Watts, Blayne Anderson, David Boggs, and Ralph Jolley.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Stephens, Cody Anderson, J.W. Jolley, Jake Jolley, and Justin Wilkerson.
