Obituary
A funeral service for Diane Anderson, 63, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. On Tuesday morning, April 7, 2015, Diane took her last breathe on earth, and her first steps in glory.
Patricia Diane Liston Anderson was born on July 9, 1951, in Carthage to Perry Alton and Ruby Pearl Guilliams Liston. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1969. Diane married Gaylon W. Anderson on Nov. 24, 1971, in Center. Diane worked side by side with her husband at Anderson Tractor until her retirement. She lived her lifetime in Carthage and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Gaylon W. Anderson of Carthage; mother, Ruby Liston of Carthage; son, Kaine Anderson and wife Becky of Carthage and their children, Tyler and Noah Anderson; daughter, Melissa Cox and fiancé Collin Houston of Carthage and their children, Cassidy and Chandler Cox; three sisters, Peggy Coats and husband Bob of Coppell, Linda Glenn and husband Rodney of Carthage, and Brenda Glenn and husband Stephen of Longview; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Joyce Anderson of Carthage. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Diane.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Pat Mitchell and Vickie Pierce, the staff and nurses of Heart's Way Hospice, and Bro Bob and Diane Scott for the loving care and support shown to their loved one.
Pallbearers are John Albers, Randy Barron, Pat Browning, Jamie Jemison, Ronny Kellar, and Ben Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers are Danny Anderson, Gayland Frazier, Dustin Fountain, Glenn Allums, Dr. Richard Hamer, Dr. Keith Keeling, Dr. Adam Duran, Don Bates, John Albers, Jr., and Marlin Bush.
