Diana Davis, a lady of faith, compassion and strength, passed away on the morning of October 25, 2012 from complications related to the cancer she courageously fought for almost three years. Diana, the youngest of three children, was born on July 18, 1956 in Carthage, Texas to Robert Levoy Davis and the late Patricia Duke Davis. Diana resided in Carthage, Texas where she raised her two daughters. As a mother and grandmother, she left an inspiring and enduring legacy. She was a true gift from God to her loving family, dear friends, and everyone she encountered in her battle with cancer.
Diana is survived by her father, Robert Levoy Davis; daughter Natalie Zurita Lea, her husband Matthew Lea and their son, Houston Holt Lea of Houston, Texas; daughter Elena Zurita McMurry, her husband Cliff Coy McMurry and their children Carmen Cymonne McCoy, Cline Coy McMurry and Camille Childers McMurry of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Robert Davis, Junior and his wife Lily Davis of Lakeway, Texas; and sister, Candy Janik and her husband Jeff Janik of Sugar Land, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home in Carthage, Texas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Carthage.
