Dewey Clyde Walker, 88, of Tatum, TX, passed away on Wednesday morning, Nov. 13, 2019, at his home near Tatum. He was born on July 14, 1931, in Canton, TX to the late Johnny and Florence Rogers Walker. Mr. Walker worked as an electrician for Letourneau in Longview until his retirement in 1993, after 37 years of service. He also worked for many years at East Texas Funeral Home in Longview. Mr. Walker was a member of the Elks Lodge #1128 in Longview. He moved to Tatum in 1965, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lakeport. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Donnie Clyde Walker; daughter, Wendy Matheson; first wife, Clara Jean Bagley Walker; and siblings, Florence Works, Floyd, Dale, and Ruphell "D.R." Walker, Joyce Vick, Neva McKinney, and Bobbie Fay Slayton.

Survivors include his wife, Maria of Tatum; his children, Terry Hunter and husband Mike of Longview, Johnny Keith Walker and wife Regina of Scottsville, Cody Walker of Longview, and Britney Brantley and husband John of Texas City; siblings, Billy Ray Walker and wife Willie Mae and Connie Bradley all of Eustace; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are James Walker, Cody Walker, Brad Mull, Marshall Hunter, Valerie Ramsey, and Ray Reynaga.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Walker's great-grandchildren.
