A memorial service for Mrs. Denys Willene Nimri, age 61, of Center, TX formerly of Carthage, TX, will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Puryear officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Mrs. Nimri passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, in Center.

Denys Willene Cryer Nimri was born on Feb. 20, 1950, in Pasadena, TX to William F. and Aline Campbell Cryer. She graduated from Pasadena High School with the class of 1968. Mrs. Nimri attended East Texas Baptist University in Marshall and the University of Texas at Arlington. She had a love for writing. Mrs. Nimri worked as a receptionist until her retirement. She had lived in Center for the past two years, moving there from Carthage. Mrs. Nimri was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Mrs. Nimri is survived by her father, William F. Cryer of Carthage; one son, James Nimri of Fort Worth; one daughter, Nadia Martin of Hurst; and three grandchildren, Robert Martin of Hurst and Austin and Barrett Nimri of Ft. Worth.
