Elva Delores Fields Phillips, 72, of Carthage, Texas, died on Monday, September 28, 2020, in Carthage. She was born November 7, 1947 in Logansport, Louisiana to Roy Delton and Susie Elizabeth Mills Fields. She was raised in Panola County and graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1966. Mrs. Phillips was married to Robert Glen Phillips for 20 years until he preceded her in death on November 26, 2008. She was a member of Northside Christian Center, loved to travel, cook and grow house plants. Mrs. Phillips is also preceded in death by her parents; children, Regina Gayle Simonson, Roger Glen Wood Phillips; sister; Susie Mae Dorman; and brother, Jerrel Fields.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her granddaughter, Ciji Simonson of Beckville; grandson, Shawn Bret Simonson of Beaumont; great grandsons, Kaden Arlin Ridgway, Jaxon Bret Bagley; sister, Erma Fae Adams and husband EJ; brother, Clive Wayne Fields and wife Lucille; sister-in-law, Linda Fields all of Carthage; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and a host of friends

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Carthage, Texas with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Interment will follow under the direction Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-3 pm prior to the service at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
