Funeral services for Mrs. Delma Beard, age 51, of Carthage, TX, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Sis. Betty Wills officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Beard passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 26, 2011, at her home near Carthage.

Delma Beth Ondrasek Beard was born on Dec. 11, 1959, in Houston, TX to Robert Lee and Betty Burk Alcus Ondrasek. She graduated from Neches High School. Mrs. Beard married Christy Lynn Beard on June 5, 1986, in Carthage. She moved to Carthage from Neches and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Beard is survived by her husband, Chris Beard of Carthage; two sons, Christopher Wayne Beard of Spring and Morgan Lee Beard of Ft. Bliss; three brothers, Charles Ondrasek of Dallas, Thomas Ondrasek of Conroe, and Vince Ondrasek and wife Marilyn of Neches; two sisters, Gwen Zettel and husband Herman Roy of Conroe and Brenda Herrington and husband Dennis of Neches; and two grandchildren, Natalie Meyer and Austin Beard. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive Mrs. Beard.
