Graveside services for Mrs. Del Yarborough, age 96 of Beckville, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Harris Chapel Cemetery near Beckville. Mrs. Yarborough passed away on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2009 in Carthage.

Del Davis Yarborough was born on December 21, 1912 in Tenaha, Texas to Asa Richard and Nealie Duke Davis. She graduated from Tenaha High School with the class of 1930. She married Lamar Yarborough on November 7, 1930 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Mrs. Yarborough moved to Beckville in 1945 from Port Arthur, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Wildwood. Mrs. Yarborough was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Jay Yarborough, one daughter, Patricia Yarborough; and two grandchildren, David Yarborough and Delanna Baker.

Mrs. Yarborough is survived by one daughter, Louise Cain and husband Frank of Marshall; daughter-in-law, Pat Yarborough of Carthage; four grandchildren, Barbara Y. Lown and husband John, Macky Buchanan and wife Paula, Mark Buchanan and wife Gail, and James Yarborough and wife Trace; 14 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
