Debra Mullis Ingram, 55, of Carthage, TX, passed away on Friday night, Oct. 9, 2020, in Shreveport, LA. Debra Alice Mullis was born on Oct. 24, 1964, in Selma, AL to the late Earl and Dorothy Ann Boyd Mullis. She graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1983. She later attended Panola College where she earned a LVN certification and worked as a nurse for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Debra spent most of her lifetime in Carthage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Dorothy Mullis; sister, Melinda Jean Mullis; and brother, Walter Scott Mullis.

Survivors include her children, Brandon McDaniel and wife Sharon of Midlothian, Casey Abernathy and husband Keith of Carthage, Joey Spurlock and wife Nicole of Shreveport, and Samantha Ingram of Bossier City; sisters, Darla Townsend and husband Lonnie of Carthage and Jennifer Malone and husband Brian of White Oak; and grandchildren, Katelyn McDaniel, Kristina Bates, Alyson McDaniel, Kaylee Spurlock, Kolton Spurlock, Kameron Spurlock, Kinsley Spurlock, Kendal Abernathy, and Callie Abernathy. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Thomas Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Jason Townsend, Ronnie Townsend, Leighton Howard, Korey Chandler, Bo Ritter, and Keith Abernathy.
