Funeral services for Mr. David Williams, Sr. age 57, of DeBerry, TX, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Williams Tabernacle with Rev. Aaron Brown officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Paradise Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Williams passed away on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, in Carthage.

David Williams, Sr. was born on June 1, 1953, in Panola County, TX to Johnny V. Williams, Sr. and Nelzie Tilmon. Mr. Williams graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1970. He married Linda Darnell on Nov. 16, 1979, in Carthage. Mr. Williams loved hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He lived his lifetime in Panola County and was a member of Paradise Baptist Church. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Aaron Williams; and one sister, Mary Helen Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Williams; one son, David Williams, Jr.; three daughters, Linette (Denise) Culpepper and husband Romelus, Tracy Williams Hudson and husband Curley, and Felicia Alexander and husband Tyrone; three brothers, Donald Williams and wife Gwendolyn, Johnny V. Williams and wife Carolyn, and Dwyane Williams; seven sisters, Betty Reeves and husband Dave, Enoris Adams, Melvina Williams, Lola Southern, Susan Johnson and husband Edward, Linda Anderson and husband Billy; and Theressa Brown; and five grandchildren.
