Darlton Layne Calcote, 65, of Carthage, Texas, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in Carthage. He was born on Feb. 14, 1953, in DeRidder, LA to the late Carl Joseph and Nina Mae Clark Calcote. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gilbert Calcote.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Bonnie Calcote of Carthage; brothers, Jerry Calcote and wife Annette of Sugarland, TX, Joe Calcote and wife Gwen of Cistern, TX, Carlton Calcote and wife Terri of Old Hickory, TN, and Clyde Calcote and wife Linda of Richardson, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Walter Knighton officiating. Burial will follow at Wood Cemetery in Newton, TX.

Pallbearers are Jerry Calcote, Joe Calcote, Carlton Calcote, Donald Wood, Ronald Wood, and Jason Wood.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
