Darlene Beavers Ramage, 96, of Carthage, passed away on Sunday morning Oct. 9, 2016, in Carthage. She was born on Apr. 8, 1920, in Hope, Ark. to the late Charlie Wright and Emma Essie Lafferty Beavers. Mrs. Ramage married Gerald Melton Ramage on Dec. 20, 1945, in Lubbock and he preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1990. She was a member of the Carthage Church of Christ. Mrs. Ramage was also preceded in death by her sons, Charles and Mark Ramage and 5 siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Procter and husband Dewayne of Friona; daughters-in-law, Leona Wimberly and husband Wayne of Old Center and Andrea Johns and husband Edward of Carthage; sisters, Esthalee Haney of Burnett and Bettie Jo Brown and husband Bill of Kent, Wash.; grandchildren, Darran Procter and wife Tania of Burnett, Amanda Myers and husband David of Carthage, J. Wade Procter and wife Cherise of Odessa, Shannon Kirkland and husband Rondall of Beckville, Angela Weaver and husband Damon of Beckville, Darla Sandlin and husband Matt of Midlothian, and Amanda Angelo and husband Wade of Timpson; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and nephew, Wiley Boothe and wife Debra of Deadwood.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Wade Procter and David Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Darren Procter, Wade Procter, David Myers, Matt Sandlin, Rondall Kirkland, Wade Angelo, and Damon Weaver.
Honorary pallbearers are John DeWitt, Ron Rhiddlehoover, Wayne Wimberly, Dewayne Procter, Ed Johns, and Wiley Boothe.
