Darlene Miller, 77, of Carthage, Texas, passed away Tuesday morning, March 21, 2023, in Carthage. Mildred Darlene Saffle was born in Marfa, Texas on May 16, 1945, to the late Charles Wilburn and Mildred Beatrice Wollitz Saffle. She graduated with the Lorena High School Class of 1963, and later attended business school. Darlene married Marion Lee Miller on July 18, 1981, in Henderson, Texas. She enjoyed a long career in the banking industry and retired from Texas Bank in Henderson. Some of Darlene's favorite things to do were traveling, shopping, and watching her grandchildren play baseball. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Leona Saffle; and sister, Charlotte Morris.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Marion Miller; children, Gerry Davis and wife Elizabeth and Janette Bonner; siblings, Barbara Spitzer, Martha York, and John Williams and wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Victoria Davis Alpha, Tyler Davis, Austin Bonner, and Blake Bonner; and great-grandchild, Hudson Alpha. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Willow Springs Presbyterian Church/Bridges Cemetery, on F.M. 348, Henderson, Texas.

Cremation arrangements are by Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
