Ms. Danna Marie Smith Hall, of De Berry, TX passed away on Thursday evening, May 19, 2011 in Tyler, Texas due to complications after surgery. She was 54 years old. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
She was born in Shreveport, LA on June 21, 1956, the daughter of John Edward Smith and Sue Carolyn Evans. Danna was known for her travels throughout Mexico and Central America collecting art for the Charles Lewis Gallery in Austin, TX and for her sense of humor and eclectic taste. She recently worked in the storefront at Bill's Meat Market in Carthage and sold yard art from her wood shop in De Berry.
Danna is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Koehler Jimenez and husband Felipe of De Berry and Julianna Barrera-Gomez and husband Nick of Howell, MI; her mother, Sue Templin and husband W.R. of De Berry; two brothers, Donald Smith and wife Kirsten of Brandon, FL and Dennis Smith and wife Kelly of San Antonio; two sisters, Mondra Sue Finey of De Berry and Paula Elaine Hunter of Lone Star; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her beloved dog, Tadpol.
