Daniel E. Jameson, 76, of Longview, TX, formerly of Tatum, TX, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 12, 2023, in Longview. Daniel Egbert Jameson was born on Sept. 5, 1946, in Shreveport, LA to the late Charles R. and Margaret Donnelly Jameson. He graduated from Tatum High School with the class of 1965, and attended Kilgore College and S.M.U. where he earned Associate Degrees. He attended to Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Jameson served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam where he served in the 173rd Airborne Division before being honorably discharged. He worked for over 40 years in the Oil and Gas Industry before his retirement. Mr. Jameson enjoyed reading his Bible and spending time with his granddaughters. He moved to Longview in 2012, from Tatum where he was a member of Tatum Methodist Church. Mr. Jameson was also preceded in death by his brother, John Charles Jameson.

He is survived by his sons, Matthew Jameson and Nicholas Jameson and wife Jessica; granddaughters, Jaidyn, Joslyn, and Jordyn Jameson; sisters, Charlotte Hillin and husband Roy, Suzanne Bozek and husband Greg, and Mary Margaret Rambo; sister-in-law, Debbie Jameson; and his sweetheart, Susan Downs.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Tatum Methodist Church with Rev. Dwain Smith officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Tatum Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Logan Jameson-Hatch, Matt Hatch, River Hillin, Trey Hillin, Wayne Hillin, Sean Hillin, Clinton Jones, and Gregory Bozek.

Honorary pallbearers are Charles Rambo, Roy Hillin, Greg Bozek, Aaron Rambo, Carter Jones, Robert Oates, and Clint Jones.
